Neogerris lubricus (White, 1879)

Limnogonus lubricus White, 1879a: 489 (original description).

Neogerris lubricus: Andersen 1975: 22–23 ( Gerrinae generic reclassification, changed combination).

Identification: Our specimens were identified based on the body length of apterous specimens less than 7 mm, the macropterous specimens less than 8 mm long; the pronotum of apterous forms reaching the metanotum ( Figs. 5A, C ), and male abdominal tergum VIII narrow, slightly converging posteriorly, with the posterior margin convex, slightly notched ( Fig. 5A ) ( Nieser 1994).

Material examined. BRAZIL, Rio Grande do Norte: Itajá, açude em Itajá , 5°43’36.0”S, 36°46’20.9”W, 02- X-2020, R . P. R. Canejo leg. (2♂, 6♀ apterous CEAAVF) .
