A senior objective synonym of Tenthredo (Tenthredella) crenata (Enslin, 1912) .

TYPES. Tenthredo fulvicornis Mocsáry, 1909: 34 –35. Syntype (s) Ƥ, “Sibiria orientalis: Ussuri (Kasakewitsh).”. Primary homonym of Tenthredo fulvicornis Panzer, 1801 [= Hoplocampa fulvicornis (Panzer, 1801) ]. Lectotype Ƥ, hereby designated ( Fig. 20 View FIGURE 20 – 21. 20 ). Type locality: “Ussuri Kasakewitsch” [= Russia: Khabarovskiy Kray: Kazakevichevo].

= Tenthredella crenata Enslin, 1912b: 105 . Replacement name for Tenthredo fulvicornis Mocsáry, 1909 .

DISCUSSION. The status of T. crenata remains open to discussion. Zhelochovtsev (1976b: 95) synonymized crenata with Tenthredo (Tenthredella) moniliata Klug, 1817 . Lacourt (1999) accepted this, whereas other subsequent authors (such as Zhelochovtsev & Zinovjev, 1996) still considered crenata to be a valid species. Pending a revision of the moniliata species complex, crenata should be treated as a distinct species. See also discussion under T. fulviventris .
