Diagnosis: General coloration brown to fusco-testaceous; head with Y-shaped black spot on frons; cuneus mostly fuscous; endosoma with C-shaped distal sclerite with thick, variable sized spines and large tongue-shaped spinose region basal.

Distribution: United States, Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Cuba, Jamaica, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Brazil, Paraguay, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Trinidad and Tobago and Argentina ( Carvalho & Fontes 1981; Morales et al. 2016).

Poaceae : Andropogon gayanus , Avena sativa ; Brachiaria decumbens ; Digitaria decumbens ; Digitaria sanguinalis ; Eriochloa polystachya , Oryza sativa ; Panicum maximum , Panicum muticum ; Panicum numidianum ; Triticum vulgare ; Setaria setosa ; Sorghum vulgare ; Zea mays ( Morales et al. 2016) , Cenchrus clandestinus synonimus Pennisetum clandestinum (new record).
