Records from India. ANDHRA PRADESH: Visakhapatnam (Waltair)— Rao & Ganapati (1968a); WEST BENGAL: Medinipur, South 24 Parganas—Sanyal et al. (2012); GENERAL RECORD: Naidu & Rao (2004).

Habitat. Marine, intertidal; medium sand, 15–30 cm below surface near half-tide level.

Distribution. India (Bay of Bengal).

Remarks. Rao & Ganapati (1968a) reported it as Tetranchyroderma indica ; Hummon & Todaro (2010) changed the species name ending from T. indica to T. indicum according to the genus gender.
