Body black; labrum brown, palpi of mouthparts dark brown; antenna yellow brown, scape entirely, basal 0.7 of pedicellum and basal half of antennomere 3 black ( Fig. 11 View FIGURE 11 g); narrow posterior margin of pronotum, tegula and cenchrus yellow brown; extreme narrow posterior margin of abdominal tergite 1, posterior 0.15 of tergites 3–7, posterior 0.3 of tergite 8, tergite 10 and cerci entirely, posterior 0.3 of sternites 3–7, subgenital plate entirely, yellow brown; tergite 2 entirely, sternite 2 entirely and sternite 3 largely yellow white. Body hairs yellow brown. Coxa entirely, fore and middle trochanters largely black; femora blackish brown, anterior side with broad brownish stripe; fore and middle tibiae entirely, basal 0.3 of hind tibia and all tarsi yellow white, apical 0.7 of hind tibia reddish brown to orange. Wings yellowish infuscate in anterior part and gradually paler toward posterior margin, vein C and pterostigma pale brown, posterior of vein Sc+R and most of vein M+Cu blackish; hind wing weakly infuscate, slightly paler than forewing.

Labrum coarsely punctured and distinctly microsculptured; punctures on clypeus very dense and large, interspaces between punctures linear, almost smooth, weakly shiny; head otherwise coarsely and irregularly punctured, rugose, with some short and irregular carinae, interspaces indistinct, strongly microsculptured, mat ( Figs 5 View FIGURE 5 a–c); pronotum densely punctured and weakly microsculptured, weakly shiny; mesoscutal middle and lateral lobes densely punctured, interspaces linear, strongly microsculptured, mat, punctures on posterior part of lateral lobe smaller than punctures on anterior part but much denser; mesoscutellum coarsely punctured without interspaces, mat; mesoscutellar appendage smooth, impunctate, shiny; parapsis and metapostnotum strongly microsculptured ( Fig. 6 View FIGURE 6 g); punctures on upper half of mesepisternum large and very dense, interspaces linear, hardly shiny; punctures on lower half of mesepisternum small and much sparse, surface hardly microsculptured, strongly shiny; mesepimeron weakly microsculptured in anterior half, posterior half densely punctured; depressed part of metepimeron weakly microsculptured, almost smooth, other part of metapleuron densely punctured, interspaces strongly microsculptured; abdominal tergites 1 distinctly punctured at middle and lateral sides, intermedian area microsculptured, not mat; tergite 2 distinctly but weakly microsculptured ( Fig. 6 View FIGURE 6 g), tergites 3–9 strongly microsculptured, rugose, surface mat.

Hairs on dorsum of head and mesopleuron dense and distinctly curved at apex, about 1.3 times as long as diameter of median ocellus ( Figs 5 View FIGURE 5 a–b); hairs on mesonotum dense, about as long as diameter of median ocellus; hairs on tergite 1 sparse and about 0.8 times as long as diameter of median ocellus; tergite 2 largely glabrous ( Fig. 6 View FIGURE 6 g); hairs on tergites 3–8 dense, about 0.7 times as long as diameter of median ocellus; mesoscutellar appendage and intertergites of abdomen glabrous.

Labrum short and broad, anterior margin round, not acute; anterior margin of clypeus truncate, without middle tooth; malar space 0.6 times as long as diameter of median ocellus; hind orbit round, occipital carina present in lower 0.3; distance between eyes at level of anterior tentorial pits 1.1 times as long as longest axis of eye ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 b); middle fovea round, deep, open to frons; lateral fovea small; frons short, frontal ridge broad; POL: OOL: OCL=14: 35: 31; interocellar furrow short and very deep, postocellar furrow fine but distinct; postocellar area weakly elevated, about 1.6 times as broad as long; lateral furrow broad and distinct, weakly curved, distinctly divergent backwards; head weakly and roundly narrowed behind eyes in dorsal view ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 a). Antenna stout, about as long as thorax, antennomere 3 about 1.1 times as long as antennomeres 4 and 5 together and 0.95 times as long as antennomeres 6–9 together, antennomere 7 as long as broad ( Fig. 11 View FIGURE 11 g), outer side of antennomeres 4–9 without longitudinal furrow. Mesoscutal middle lobe without middle furrow, with a fine middle carina; mesoscutellum roundly elevated, anterior margin roundly and distinctly protruding, transverse anterior furrow deep; mesoscutellar appendage short with middle length about as long as diameter of median ocellus; cenchrus transverse, much broader than long, CD=1.3 ( Fig. 6 View FIGURE 6 g). Mesepisternum hardly elevated at middle, without blunt ridge. Venation as Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 h, cell 2Rs about 1.2 times as long as cells 1R1+1Rs, cell A of forewing strongly constricted at basal 0.25, where distance between 1A and 2A+3A 3 times as broad as vein 2A+3A, first abscissa of vein M 0.9 times as long as 1m-cu, vein 2r1 meeting cell 2Rs at apical 0.2. Inner tibial spur of fore leg as Fig. 7 View FIGURE 7 p, apex deeply incised; claw as Fig. 7 View FIGURE 7 g, inner tooth clearly shorter than apical tooth. Female. Unknown.

Etymology. The species is named after the collector of the holotype.

Material examined. Holotype: Ƌ, CHINA: GANSU: Mt. Woniu, Tan'gelinchang, Mt. Xiaolong, 34.4895°N, 104.7961°E, 2200m, 2.vii.2009, Wu Xingyu ( CSCS).

Distribution. China (Gansu) ( Fig. 12 View FIGURE 12 ).

Host plant. Unknown.

Remarks. This new species is similar to N. (C.) hyalina sp. nov. See the above key for the differences between them and other species of the genus. The dorsal apical hook of penis valve is not conspicuous as it is connected with the caudal corner of valviceps by membrane.
