Abdomen brown to pale brown, tergite 2 and subgenital plate largely and harpes entirely yellow brown, basal 0.8 (middle) to 0.6 (lateral sides) of tergite 1, short lateral macula and narrow anterior margin of tergite 2 ( Fig. 6 View FIGURE 6 d), basal 0.3 of tergites 3–7 blackish brown, base of basal sternites more or less blackish brown. Body hairs brown to pale brown. Legs black, hind trochanter, broad anterior stripe and broad apex of fore and middle femora, fore and middle tibiae entirely pale brown, hind tibia brown to dark brown, all tarsi yellow brown. Wings yellowish infuscate in anterior part and gradually paler toward posterior margin, vein C and pterostigma pale brown, posterior of vein Sc+R and most of vein M+Cu blackish; hind wing weakly infuscate, slightly paler than forewing.

Punctures on labrum small and dense, narrow interspaces between punctures weakly microsculptured; punctures on clypeus dense and large, interspaces between punctures almost smooth, shiny ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 b); inner orbit and hind orbit densely punctured, interspaces linear, weakly microsculptured, less shiny; frons densely and coarsely punctured, interspaces narrow, hardly microsculptured, more or less shiny; punctures on temple and postocellar area slightly sparser than frons, surface very weakly microsculptured, moderately shiny ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 a–c); malar space densely punctured, shiny; upper corner of pronotum moderately punctured and shiny, depressed part of pronotum coarsely punctured and microsculptured, feebly shiny; mesoscutal middle lobe and lateral lobe densely punctured, interspaces very narrow, distinctly microsculptured, almost dim; mesoscutellum densely punctured with narrow smooth interspaces, less shiny; mesoscutellar appendage polished, impunctate, strongly shiny; parapsis weakly microsculptured, less shiny; metapostnotum densely microsculptured ( Fig. 6 View FIGURE 6 d); punctures on upper half of mesepisternum large and very dense, interspaces very narrow, hardly shiny; punctures on lower half of mesepisternum smaller and much sparse, surface indistinctly microsculptured, shiny; mesepimeron and metapleuron strongly microsculptured mixed with some large but shallow punctures; abdominal tergite 1 densely microsculptured, almost mat, narrow lateral side densely punctured, very narrow posterior margin weakly coriaceous, less shiny; tergite 2 hardly punctured, densely microsculptured, other tergites strongly microsculptured mixed with dense but indistinct punctures in entire length, mat ( Fig. 6 View FIGURE 6 d); microsculpture on median part of tergite 8–9 hardly weaker than lateral part; sternites densely punctured except for apical half of subgenital plate.

Hairs on dorsum of head and mesopleuron dense and almost straight, about 0.9 times as long as diameter of median ocellus ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 a–b); hairs on mesonotum dense and about 0.6 times as long as diameter of median ocellus; dorsum of abdominal tergites 1–2 largely glabrous except for narrow middle stripe, other tergites densely pubescent; mesoscutellar appendage and intertergites of abdomen glabrous ( Fig. 6 View FIGURE 6 d).

Labrum broad, anterior margin round, not acute; anterior margin of clypeus weakly incised in entire length, almost truncate; malar space about as long as radius of median ocellus ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 b); hind orbit round, without occipital carina; distance between eyes at level of anterior tentorial pits 1.2 times as long as longest axis of eye ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 b); mandibles as Figs 11 View FIGURE 11 m–n; middle fovea roundish, shallow, closed; lateral fovea small; frons small, roundish, frontal ridge obtuse; POL: OOL: OCL=15: 40: 35; interocellar furrow narrow and very deep, postocellar furrow fine and shallow, hardly bent forward; postocellar area flat, hardly elevated, about 1.3 times as broad as long; lateral furrow broad but very shallow, weakly curved, weakly divergent backwards; head hardly dilated behind eyes in dorsal view ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 a). Distribution. China (Shaanxi, Henan). The species is recorded from Shaanxi for the first time ( Fig. 12 View FIGURE 12 ).

Host plant. Unknown.

Remarks. As Curvatapenis merged with Neocolochelyna, Curvatapenis testaceous is transferred into Neocolochelyna . N. testaceoa is similar to N. itoi Takeuchi from Japan. See the above key for the differences between the two species.
