Identification. Material of the genus Rheumatobates was identified based on the males, which in some spe- cies have extreme modifications of the antennae and legs. Rheumatobates bergrothi is one of these cases, where the antennomere III displays a wide midventral projection and an indentation on the distal half, the hind trochanter bears 2 toothlike projections, and the hind femur has a pedunculated T-shaped structure on the mesal margin ( Molano-Rendón et al. 2017a).

Distribution in the Colombian Caribbean region. La Guajira ( Molano-Rendón et al. 2017a), Magdalena ( Molano-Rendón et al. 2005, 2008, Castro-Vargas and Morales-Castaño 2011), Sucre (this work), Urabá antioqueño ( Molano-Rendón et al. 2017a).
