This species is formally transferred to the genus Chonocephalus View in CoL as a consequence of synonymising Epichonocephalus View in CoL with this genus (see above).
Material
Holotype male (wing only), Bismarck Archipelago, Neupommern, Lewon, 3 9 November (MKB). 1 male, Papua New Guinea, Baiyer R., Goroka, 1200 m, 412 August 1985, T. Anderson (leg. R. S. George) ( UMZC 3143).
