Eudecatoma paranensis Brèthes 1922: 126 . Holotype, female, by monotypy.

Eudecatoma paranensis ; valid species, De Santis 1967: 206.

Sycophila paranensis ; Eudecatoma synonymized under Sycophila View in CoL by Boucek (1974). Combination by Noyes (2014).

Type material. The holotype is labeled as follows: “Paraná, X.1920, J. R. Baez/ Eudecatoma paranensis Brèthes / parasite de Neurolasioptera baezi Brèthes/ Type /[red square blank label].”

Nomenclature and notes. This specimen clearly does not belong to Sycophila as the wings lack any infuscation near the marginal vein or typical thickening thereof ( Fig. 12 View FIGURES 7 – 12. 7 ). The head is missing and the ventral half of the body is embedded in glue so it is impossible to tell to which genus it belongs, although it has affinities with Aximopsis Ashmead and Philolema Cameron because the procoxal carinae form a shelf (this can be seen on the right side through the adhesive.
