Neobelocera lanpingensis Chen View in CoL n. sp. ( Fig. 1–8 View FIGURES 1 – 8 )

Macropterous form: body length male 2.8–3.0mm, female 3.0mm; including tegmen male 4.8–5.0mm, female 5.0mm; tegmen length male 4.0mm, female 4.2mm.

Head including eyes wider than pronotum. Vertex broad transversely, wider at base than long submedially, about 2.5:1, anterior and posterior margins truncate. Yshaped carina distinct, submedian carinae originating from apical 1/4 of lateral carinae, running transversely then uniting at apex of vertex ( Fig. 2 View FIGURES 1 – 8 ). Frons longer at midline than wide at widest part, about 1.7:1, widest above level of lower margin of eyes, median carina forked at extreme base. Postclypeus wider at base than frons at apex ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 1 – 8 ). Antennae reaching median part of postclypeus, basal segment of antennae shorter at midline than second segment, about 0.6:1, second segment long oval, somewhat compressed, longer than wide about 3.0:1 ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 1 – 8 ). Pronotum tricarinate, with anterior margin truncate, posterior margin incised strongly, lateral carinae running near anterolateral margin, then curving inward and reaching hind margin. Mesonotum tricarinate, longer in midline than vertex and pronotum together, about 2.4:1; median carina reaching end of scutellum ( Fig. 2 View FIGURES 1 – 8 ). Tegmen long, narrow, apex oblique and tapering. Basal segment of digitus longer than second and third together, about 1.6:1.

Anal segment ringlike ( Fig. 4–6 View FIGURES 1 – 8 ). Pygofer in profile much longer ventrally than dorsally, posterior margin somewhat sinuate, in posterior view with opening longer than wide, ventral margin with 3 medioventral processes, median one short, broad, tapering, lateral ones very slender, long, sinuate ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 1 – 8 ). Aedeagus long, with phallus and phallobase ( Fig. 7 View FIGURES 1 – 8 ). Phallus tubular, arising from base of aedeagus, running dorsad, then curving ventrad, basalventral margin with short, small process. Subapical part of phallus turning left strongly, with node at apex, apex with 2 stout processes: left one directed laterodorsad, right one directed dorsad. In addition, 2 processes at subapical part of phallus: one slender, short, directed ventrad, another one stout, long, directed rightdorsad. Phallobase tubular, as thick as phallus, arising from base of aedeagus, running dorsad, then curving caudad, after median part, turned left then ventrad, tapering apically. Diaphragm membranous, separated. Genital styles slender, long, bent near middle, tapering apically ( Fig. 8 View FIGURES 1 – 8 ).

Vertex, pronotum, mesonotum dirty yellowish brown ( Fig. 2 View FIGURES 1 – 8 ). Frons, genae, clypeus yellowish brown to brown, except transverse stripe below level of lower margin of eyes and transverse stripe of apex of frons yellowish white ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 1 – 8 ). Eyes dirty yellowish brown. Antennae brown, except lateral margin of basal segment, lateral margin and apex of second segment yellowish white. Thorax with sterna, including coxae of legs dark brown, except region between median and hind legs yellowish white. Legs yellowish white to yellowish brown, with dark brown maculations ( Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1 – 8 ). Tegmen light yellowish white, almost hyaline, basal part near costal margin with big infuscate markings, and apical part from transverse veins to apex with dark brown markings. Veins dark brown, with short white stripe at intervals, dark brown stripe along veins of apical region. Pterostigma blackish brown. Abdomeinal terga blackish brown, pleura and sterna blackish brown, except posterior margin of each segment reddish orange. Pygofer, anal segment blackish brown. Genital styles, aedeagus yellowish brown.
