1954 c. Notas Mus. La Plata, Zoología 17 (155): 352. Holotype, ɗ, MLP 541 (whole specimen on a slide), ARGENTINA: Buenos Aires, Ensenada, Punta Lara, 21 XI 1934, J. A. Rosas Costa coll. Paratype, ɗ, MLP 524 (gonopods and 7 th pair of legs on a slide; rest of the body not presently housed at MLP), same data as holotype except X 1938, M. Birabén coll.

Remarks: Paratype status not established in original description, but handwritten by Schubart on slide label.

camellatus, Trienchodesmus

Schubart 1954 b. Notas Mus. La Plata, Zoología 17 (154): 322. Type, ɗ, MLP 598 (legs 1, 2, 3, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 29 and 30 on a slide; gonopods on a second slide; rest of the body in alcohol), CHILE: Quebrada Macul, Santiago de Chile, IX 1945, Kuschel coll. Paratypes (7): 2 ΨΨ, 1 ɗ, 4 immatures (3 ΨΨ, 1 ɗ), MLP 598 (ventral plate and 6 legs of a Ψ paratype on a slide not labeled as paratype but cited as such in the original description); remaining paratype materials in alcohol, same data as type.

Remarks: In the original description (p. 325) the author reports as type locality: ‘ CHILE: Quebrada Macul, barrio Santiago de Chile, en el distrito de Ñuñca’ (misspelling for Ñuñoa?). According to the original description, 2 paratypes (1 Ψ and 1 ɗ) were deposited in the author’s collection.

cordobensis, Platinodesmus

Schubart 1954 a. Notas Mus. La Plata, Zoología 17 (150): 126. Type, ɗ, MLP 557 (legs 1, 2, 3, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 on a slide; gonopods on a second slide; rest of the body not presently housed at MLP), ARGENTINA: Córdoba, Alta Gracia, I 1939, Bruch coll. Paratypes (8): 4 ΨΨ, 4 ɗɗ, MLP 557 (in alcohol), same data as type.

Remarks: The 8 specimens MLP 557 from Alta Gracia, Córdoba were labeled as paratypes by the author but this status was not established in the original description; 3 ΨΨ and 3 ɗɗ from the original sample were deposited in Schubart’s collection.

macul, Mikroporus granulatus

Schubart 1954 b. Notas Mus. La Plata, Zoología. 17 (154): 319. Type, ɗ, MLP 568 (legs 1, 2, 3, 4 and right gonopod on a slide; rest of the body not presently housed at MLP), CHILE: Quebrada Macul, cerca de Santiago de Chile, IX 1945, Kuschel coll.

Remarks: Left gonopod on a slide housed at MZUSP. In the original description, Schubart reported 1 Ψ from the type locality, not presently housed at MLP.

iguazuensis, Leptodesmus

Schubart 1954 a. Notas Mus. La Plata, Zoología 17 (150): 136. Type, ɗ, MLP 582 (legs 1, 2, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 on a slide; gonopods on a second slide; rest of the body in alcohol), ARGENTINA: Misiones, P. Iguazú, 14 / 15 I 1944, Williner coll. Paratypes (4): 1 Ψ, 1 ɗ, 2 juveniles (1 Ψ, 1 ɗ), MLP 559 (in alcohol), same data as type except 10 / 13 XI 1944, coll.?

Remarks: The 4 specimens MLP 559 from Iguazú, Misiones, were labeled as paratypes by the author but this status was not established in the original description; 1 ɗ with the same data as the paratypes was deposited in Schubart’s collection.

lacustris, Anaulocodesmus

Schubart 1954 b. Notas Mus. La Plata, Zoología 17 (154): 310. Holotype, ɗ, MLP 599 (legs 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 on a slide; gonopods on a second slide; rest of the body not presently housed at MLP), ARGENTINA: Neuquén, Lago Nahuel Huapi, Isla Victoria, XII 1943, Havrilenko coll.

Remarks: The specimens that Schubart mentions in his original description are 1 ɗ and 3 ΨΨ (all with same number and data as holotype). At the MLP collection, besides the holotype ɗ, there is a vial with a label handwritten by Schubart that reads: ‘ 2 ΨΨ – Allotype’ containing two ΨΨ specimens (none of them individualized as allotype) and also a slide with legs 3, 7, 15 and 30 of a Ψ that presumably correspond to the allotype, but not labeled as so. According to Schubart the remaining Ψ specimen was deposited in his personal collection.

missiones, Camptomorpha

Schubart 1954 a. Notas Mus. La Plata, Zoología 17 (150): 117. Holotype, ɗ, MLP 597 (legs 1, 2, 3, 5, 10, 20, 25 and 30 on a slide; gonopods on a second slide; rest of the body in alcohol), ARGENTINA: Misiones, Iguazú, 10 / 13 XI. 1944, coll?

Remarks: The sample MLP 597 is labeled as ‘ Camptomorpha  missionensis’, however in the original description the species is named: ‘ Camptomorpha  missiones’, even if under the subtitle ‘Observaciones’ (p. 119) the species is referred to as C. missionensis  . In the original description, the collecting date of holotype is lacking, but the label of MLP 597 indicates ‘ 10 / 13 XI 1944 ’.

Schubart 1954 b. Notas Mus. La Plata, Zoología. 17 (154): 316. Type, ɗ, MLP 554 (legs 1, 2, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 on a slide; gonopods on a second slide; rest of the body in alcohol), ARGENTINA: Neuquén, Lago Nahuel Huapi, Isla Victoria, XII 1943, Havrilenko coll.

Remarks: In the original description, Schubart reported a second ɗ specimen from the type locality without indication of type status, not presently housed at MLP.
