Type:— TURKEY. Adıyaman (C7): Çelikhan, Petelik locality, under the road, dam edge, 6 July 2014, Kaya & Ateş s.n. (holotype ISTE!, isotypes ISTO!, KHAU!) .

Distribution: — Cyanus celikhanensis is a very rare endemic of Adıyaman Province, S Turkey. It is only known from the type locality in Çelikhan ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 ).
