Centaurea cyanus Linneaus (1753: 911) View in CoL . Type:—EUROPE. s.d., Anon. s.n. (lectotype LINN-HL1030-16! designated by Wagenitz 1980: 418).

Distribution: — Cyanus segetum is distributed as a weed in most of Europe, Siberia, C Asia, N America and elsewhere, and in natural habitats in Italy, Greece, Turkey and Azerbajian ( Wagenitz 2019). In Turkey, it is mainly distributed from southwestern to northwestern parts ( Fig. 8 View FIGURE 8 ).
