Type material. Male holotype (DZUNESP-RC #3146), 14 male and 19 female paratypes from Opisthocomus hoazin (Müller, 1776) (Opisthocomiformes: Opisthocomidae ), BRAZIL, Pará State, Fazenda Fartura, 09°40'S / 50°23'W, Santana do Araguaia, 0 8 September 2013, D.V. Boas-Filho coll. (#1111); other paratypes: 4 males and 3 females, same data (#1110); 1 male and 2 females, same data (#1112).

Depository. Holotype, 16 male and 21 female paratypes at DZUNESP-RC; 3 male and 3 female paratypes at ZISP.

Description. MALE ( Figs. 18 View FIGURE 18 , 20 View FIGURE 20 A–D). (holotype, range for 5 paratypes in parentheses). Gnathosoma almost rectangular, length including palps 54 (41–52), width at base 48 (40–50). Idiosoma length from anterior end to lobar apices 352 (322–359), greatest width at level of humeral shields 175 (146–165); length of hysterosoma 252 (230–248). Prodorsal shield: occupying anterior part of prodorsum, with two incisions at level of scapular setae se, length along midline 82 (76–82), greatest width 83 (75–81) ( Fig. 18 View FIGURE 18 A). Setae vi filiform, subequal in length to chelicerae, their bases separated by 9 (7–9). Setae se separated by 66 (58–63). Setae si spiculiform, 18 (19–20) long, separated by 46 (40–43). Setae c2 narrowly spiculiform, 17 (14–26) long, situated in anterior angles of humeral shields. Subhumeral setae c3 lanceolate, 26 (28–30) long. Hysteronotal shield: greatest length from anterior margins to bases of setae h3 244 (219–241), width at anterior margin 125 (111–124), anterior margin nearly straight, surface with longitudinal striation posterior to setae e1. Hysteronotal gland opening gl situated between levels of setae d2 and e1. Supranal concavity present. Opisthosomal lobes scarcely expressed; terminal cleft small, shallowly concave, 10 (7–9) long. Setae f2 and ps2 narrowly lanceolate; setae ps1 and h1 thin, spiculiform; setae h1 situated anterior to level of setae h3. Distances between dorsal setae: c2:d2 97 (86–96), d2: e2 87 (77–83), e2:h3 55 (42–51), d1:d2 53 (36–52), e1: e2 43 (34–45), ps1:ps1 21 (16–22), h3:h3 26 (23–28), h2:h2 43 (38–46).

Epimerites I fused into a Y, sternum about 1/3 of total length of epimerites. Genital apparatus 20 (17–21) in length, 12 (12–16) in width, situated between levels of trochanters III and IV ( Fig. 18 View FIGURE 18 B). Setae 4b situated at the same level as setae 3a. Setae g and genital papillae situated anterior to genital apparatus apex. Distances between ventral setae: 4b:g 23 (25–36), g:4a 36 (35–48); ps3:h3 66 (60–67). Anal suckers 9 (9–10) in diameter, without radial striation, corolla without indentations.

Solenidion σ1 of genu I slightly shorter than this segment. Setae mG of genua I, II subequal in length. Solenidion φ of tibia IV approximately equal in length to the tarsus. Setae d of tarsi IV button-like, setae e smallspine-like. Length of tarsi: I 41 (39–41), II 41 (38–41), III 50 (44–52), IV 48 (45–48). Length of solenidia: σ 1 I 24 (20–28), σ II 9 (5–10), σ III 17 (19–21), φ I 76 (74–79), φ II 69 (61–70), φ III 55 (52–58), φ IV 48 (43–52), ω 1 I 15 (12–13), ω 1 II 16 (14–17), ω 3 I 39 (30–38).

FEMALE ( Figs. 19 View FIGURE 19 , 20 View FIGURE 20 E–F) (range for 5 paratypes). Gnathosoma, length × width, 61–68 × 44–54. Idiosoma, length × width, 368–404 × 176–205, length of hysterosoma 271–294. Prodorsal shield shaped as in male, 88–92 × 85–88. Setae vi subequal in length to chelicerae, their bases separated by 8–9, setae se separated by 65–68, setae si spiculiform, barbed in apical half, 24–30 long. Setae c2 thin spiculiform, 16-19 long, situated in anterior angles of humeral shields. Subhumeral setae c3 lanceolate, 29–32 long. Hysteronotal shield: length 262–274, width 122– 130, anterior margin nearly straight, surface without ornamentation, posterior margin conical. Setae e1, e2 and h1 thick, lanceolate, the latter two setae transversely aligned. Supranal concavity absent. Spermatheca and spermaducts as in Fig. 19 View FIGURE 19 C. Length of dorsal setae: d 2 12–14, e1 32 –41, e 2 30 –38, h 1 26–33. Distances between dorsal setae: c2:d2 120–127, d2: e2 83–91, d1: d2 61–70, e1: e 2 30–38, h1:h 1 19–24, h2:h2 35–41, h3:h 3 20–22, ps1: ps 1 16–18.

Epimerites I as in male. Epigynum horseshoe-shaped, 34–41 long, 33–43 wide. Apodemes of oviporus rudimentary. Setae g situated at the same level of setae 3a. Distances between ventral setae: 4b:g 27–32, g:4a 9–11.

Legs I–III as in male. Solenidion φ of tibia III slightly longer than corresponding tarsus; Solenidion φ of tibia IV about one fifth the corresponding tarsus. Length of tarsi: I 45 –48, II 45 –46, III 57 –61, IV 66 –71. Length of solenidia: σI I 26–32, σ II 7–9, σ III 18–21, φ I 76 –89, φ II 70 –79, φ III 51 –69, φ IV 13–18, ω 1 I 14–17, ω 1 II 15–17, ω 3 I 33–41.

Etymology.The species is named after David Vilas Boas-Filho (Faculdade Jaguariúna, Campus II, Jaguariúna, SP, Brazil), who collected most of the material described herein.
