Type locality: Brazil, Espírito Santo, Itarana.

Holotype ♀ with labels: (1) printed on red paper: “ Holotype ”; (2) handwritten on white paper: “ Olbiogaster | xanthonota Tozoni ”; (3) printed on white paper: “DPT ◦ ZOOL [ Department of Zoology ] | UF – PARANÁ [ UFPR]”; (4) printed on white paper: “ITARANA – BRASIL | ES – 12/2/1966 | C.I.I.F.
