Tozoni, 1993: 121 (original description); figs. 3 (female wing), 13 (female thorax and abdomen coloration).

Type locality: Brazil , Minas Gerais, Águas Vermelhas.

Holotype ♀ with labels:(1) printed on white paper: “ BRASIL, MG, ÁGUAS VERME- | LHAS | 800 M |. XII.1983 | M. ALVARENGA COL .”; (2) handwritten on white paper: “ Olbiogaster | erythrohydros | Tozoni”; (3) printed on red paper: “ Holotype ”.

Condition of type. On permanent slide.
