Measurements: Length: 1.7-5.5cm, Height: 3.1-13.4cm

Distribution: Andhra Pradesh, Andaman Islands, Goa, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Orissa, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal.

Remarks: A brackish water species, found usually in cluster attached to the substratum near mouths. The species is cultured for food.
