Type locality. Greece: “Griechenland, Alt Korinth , Ende Mai bei Blattläusen , leg Schmidt und m.— ♀ Type, ♂ Al-lotype Coll. m., ♂♂ Paratypen Coll. Schmidt ” .

Remarks. Móczár (1998c) included Cleptes schmidti Linsenmaier in the subgenus Maculosicleptes , dahlbomi group, and added some supplementary features to the description of the male.
