Distribution. Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras; Mexico (Hidalgo, Oaxaca, Tamaulipas).

The species is new to Mexico.

Comments. Compared with the other species that have antennae usually on a distinct but low shelf, completely papillate face, setose eyes, and second tergite with a posterior transverse groove, areolet open, subocular sulcus is strongly bent, and head slightly concave posteriorly, unlike in O. veracruzus , basal flagellomere 2.0–2.5 × as long as wide, unlike in O. pictus , and pterostigma strongly asymmetrical, unlike in O. minor and O. nicaraguensis .
