Redescription (Fig. 25). Male. Unknown.

Female. Body length 3.8–4.1mm. Arista sparsely plumose with basal hairs more densely arranged. Setae light brown to yellow. Ocellar seta half length of postvertical. Presutural intra-alar seta absent. Two dorsocentral setae with slightly developed setula in front of anterior dorsocentral. Acrostichal seta absent. One lateral scutellar seta. Hind fronto-orbital present (not absent, as mentioned in Sasakawa (1979)). Head yellow with brown spot on outer face of first flagellomere, parafacial, gena and occiput white, clypeus with light brown central spot, palpus with orange tint apically, ocellar tubercle brown and back of head with one pair of lateral triangular spots; gena shining. Scutum mostly yellow with vittate pattern: one pair of dorsocentral stripes extending to posterior margin laterally and thinly connected to notopleural spot anterolaterally; posterolateral margin of postpronotum brown; posterolateral margin of scutum light brown; minute triangular spot on posteromedial margin of scutum. Scutellum brown. Metanotum brown with one pair of yellowish stripes lateral to scutellum. Pleuron white with proepisternum light brown, and anepisternum and anepimeron brown. Legs yellow with fore coxa and basal half of femora white, fore tarsi brown, fore tibia light brown (sometimes only apically) and hind tibia with brownish medial tint. Halter entirely white. Wing very lightly clouded on distal 1/3 along R2+3. M1+2 ratio 3.0. Abdomen brown with terminalia yellow, sternites 1–4 yellow, tergite 1 with one pair of small faded spots, and tergites 2 and 3 yellowish posteromedially; pattern difficult to distinguish in holotype.
