R e m a r k. Genus Progyrolepis belongs to the family Acrolepidae on the basis of its cheek bone pattern, opercular apparatus, shape of the parasphenoid, conical teeth and antoperculum ( Štamberg 2018).
I n c l u d e d s p e c i e s. Progyrolepis speciosus ( FRIČ, 1875) from the late Pennsylvanian of the Bohemian Massif (the Czech Republic); P. heyleri POPLIN, 1999 from the lower Permian of the Bourbon-l’Archambault Basin ( France).
