Genitalia ( Figs. 107–111 View FIGURES 100 – 110 View FIGURES 111 – 116 ): sternum IX slightly concave distally, shaded with gray at anterior margin and lateral zones, with 3- or 4-pointed microlepides ( Fig. 111 View FIGURES 111 – 116 ); pedestal with long and apically rounded parastylus (p in Fig. 110 View FIGURES 100 – 110 ) and inner corner roundly projected (ic in Fig. 110 View FIGURES 100 – 110 ), pedestals distinctly separated in middle ( Fig. 107 View FIGURES 100 – 110 ); forceps and penes translucent whitish, except for rounded secondary lobe of penes (sl in Fig. 109 View FIGURES 100 – 110 ), grayish; main lobe of penes apically rounded, with sclerotized margin toward medial line (ml in Fig. 109 View FIGURES 100 – 110 ); outer margin covered with tiny spines distally (arrow in Fig. 108 View FIGURES 100 – 110 ). Paraprocts protruding ( Fig. 108 View FIGURES 100 – 110 ), shaded gray laterally. Caudal filaments whitish translucent.

Etymology. The specific epithet is a noun in apposition. The species is named in allusion to the type locality, Rio Demeni , the southern limit of Yanomami´s territories.

Distribution ( Fig. 180 View FIGURES 180 ). Brazil (Amazonas, Roraima, Acre).

Diagnosis. Campsurus demeni sp. nov., known from male adults, can be characterized as follows: 1) posterior margin of male abdominal sternum IX slightly concave ( Figs. 107 View FIGURES 100 – 110 ); 2) pedestal of each side distinctly separated in the middle, pedestal with long and apically rounded parastylus and inner corner roundly projected ( Figs. 107, 110 View FIGURES 100 – 110 ); 3) main lobe of penes apically rounded, with sclerotized margin toward the medial line and covered with small spines on outer margin ( Figs. 108–109 View FIGURES 100 – 110 ), secondary lobe small and rounded ( Fig. 109 View FIGURES 100 – 110 ); 4) paraprocts protruding distally ( Fig. 108 View FIGURES 100 – 110 ); 5) small size (length of male fore wings 7 mm).

Discussion. See discussion under previous species. The numerous small spines covering the penes near the outer margins are unique to this species.
