6. Parena tesari View in CoL species group
This species group contains two very similar and allopatric species distributed in East Asia, east to Taiwan and west to Nepal. They are characterized by: dorsum uniformly brown or piceous; tempora long, gradually narrowed behind eyes, length of tempora plus neck-constriction two-thirds of diameter of eye or more; mentum with a pair of short setae; pronotum nearly quadrate; elytral apices evenly rounded; median lobe of aedeagus slightly slender (AL/AW 4.5–5.0), apical lamella thin; gonocoxite II of ovipositor rectangular, apex with two to four ensiform setae on each angle.
