Cryptogonus blandus Mader, 1954: 130 .— Liu 1963: 84; Kovář 2007: 73 (as Aspidimerus blandus ).—Synonymized by Huo et al. 2013: 68, 71.

Diagnosis. Length: 3.75–4.00 mm; width: 3.00– 3.25 mm. Body oblong oval, dorsum strongly convex and pubescent. Head yellow in male and black in female. Pronotum black with anterolateral corners yellow. Scutellar shield black. Elytra yellow with three black spots, spot 1 rounded, situated on humeral callus, spot 2 subrounded, largest, posterior to middle line, nearer suture, spot 3 smallest, oblong, on lateral margin ( Fig. 8a ). Ventral side black except legs and abdomen reddish brown. Genitalia not studied.

Material examined. Doherty / Birma / Karen Mts / Fry Coll. 1905-100 / Aspidimerus ruficrus Gorh. A. P. Kapur det. 1947 /64290, 1 male ( BMNH); with same data except “ Birma Ruby Mines”, 1 female ( BMNH) .

Distribution. Presumed to be present in northeastern region of India (based on material without labels in Indian collections); Myanmar; China (Sichuan, Yunnan); Vietnam.
