Current status: synonym of Paralichthys olivaceus (Temminck & Schlegel, 1846) ( Schmidt, 1931: 315)

Syntypes: ZIN 12378 (2) Sea of Japan, Gensan [Wonsan], June 1900, collector P.Yu.Schmidt.

Remarks: Vertebrae are not counted because the specimens are too large to be radiographed.
