Quinqueloculina View in CoL sp. 1 ( Fig10 View FIGURE 10 :18, 19)

Emended description (after Parker 2009): Test elongate, slender, quinqueloculine coiled with acute periphery bearing a slight carina. Both oral and aboral ends produced; aboral end rounded, oral end bearing a short, thin neck. Chambers compressed, but maintain consistent width throughout their length. Sutures distinct, but not deeply depressed. Test wall ornamented by rough, fine, uneven striae. Rounded, terminal aperture; dentition unknown.

Remarks. Despite the damaged nature of the available material, this species bears a striking resemblance to Quinqueloculina sp. 19 from Ningaloo Reef ( Parker 2009, fig. 230). Without the complete aperture however, a precise taxonomic assignment cannot be made with confidence.

Distribution within study area. This species was only collected from site 36 in One Tree Lagoon 1.
