Cydia anthracotis was described from Mpumalanga, South Africa. Razowski and Krüger (2007) provide illustrations of the holotype male and its genitalia, along with a brief description of its genitalia. Based on facies and the male genitalia, the species is transferred to Cydia View in CoL .
