Genus Makolia Saboori, Khaustov & Hakimitabar gen. nov.

Type species: Makolia crimeaensis Saboori, Khaustov & Hakimitabar sp. nov. (monotypic)

Diagnosis of larva: Scutum with four pairs of scutalae and two pairs of sensilla; number of setae on legs I–III as follows: coxa 2-[4–5]-[4–6], trochanter 5-5-5, basifemur 8-6-9, telofemur 17-16-21, genu 27-19-23, tibia 31-26-31; two setae on palpfemur; tarsi each with two feather-like claws and a falciform empodium.

Etymology: This genus named in honor of Dr. Joanna Mąkol (Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences, Wrocław, Poland) for her great contribution to the systematics of terrestrial Parasitengona and many years of kind help and collaboration with senior author. Feminine in gender.

Remarks: This genus has more than three pairs of scutalae. The following genera have this feature: Forania , Erythroides Southcott, 1946 , Ramsayella Zhang, 2000 and Erythrites Southcott, 1961 . It differs from all these genera in fn Cx (2-[4-5]-[4-6] vs. 1-3-3 or 1-1-1). It also differs from Forania in the number of scutalae (8 vs. 6) and shape of scutum, from Erythroides in sensillary setae unexpanded (vs. clavate), number of setae on palpfemur (2 vs. 1), number of scutalae (8 vs. 6), and fn Tr (5-5-5 vs. 1-1-1), from Ramsayella in the number of scutalae (8 vs.> 12), number of setae on palpfemur (2 vs. 1) and fn Tr (5-5-5 vs. 1-1-1) and from Erythrites in the number of scutalae (8 vs. 6) and fn Tr (5-5-5 vs. 1-1-1).
