Several records were obtained during the winter, autumn and spring on the beach in Praia do Rincão: on October 14 th 2012 (two individuals; WA807753). In 2013, it was recorded on June 13 th (135 individuals), August 31 st (150 individuals), September 14 th (50 individuals), October 6 th (four individuals). In 2014, it was recorded on May 24 th (10 individuals), June 29 th (two individuals), July 26 th (650 individuals; WA2079160), August 24 th (80 individuals) and September 21 st (four individuals). On April 21 st 2014, a small flock was observed near Araranguá riv- er mouth (WA1320064) .
