European troglophilous and euedaphic species that has been found in forest humus of the Basque Country ( Pozo 1983). It is frequent in humid forest soils, and it was found in caves caves of Britain ( Hazelton 1970), Bulgary ( Thibaud 1995), Germany ( Gisin 1961), Hungary ( Loksa 1959) and Switzerland ( Aellen & Strinati 1956). This is the first time that this species has been cited in a cave in Spain.
