Type locality. Off Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, 3 m.

Type material. Holotype ( USNM 39485), paratypes ( USNM 39486).

Records. USA: off Florida, 24–43 m, coarse to fine sand ( Johnson 1984). Puerto Rico, 3 m ( Foster 1969).
