Hosts. Polyphagous, reported from 34 species belonging to 25 plant families ( García Morales et al. 2016). In Uruguay, Pl. ficus was recorded on Cydonia oblonga (Rosaceae) , Ficus carica ( Moraceae ), Malus domestica (Rosaceae) ( Granara de Willink et al. 1997) and Vitis vinifera (Vitaceae) ( Trujillo Peluffo 1930).
Distribution. Australasian, Afrotropical, Nearctic, Neotropical, Oriental and Palaearctic regions ( García Morales et al. 2016).
