Material studied. URUGUAY: La Tuna, ex roots of an unidentified host ( Poaceae ), 34°46’43.8”S 55°33’37.9”W, 18.iv.2019, coll. Pacheco da Silva, V.C., 3 adult ♀♀, ECFA No. 250. Hosts. Polyphagous (reported from 25 genera belonging to 7 plant families) but mainly associated with Poaceae (it has been recorded from 25 species of grasses) ( García Morales et al. 2016).
Distribution. Australasian, Afrotropical, Nearctic, Neotropical and Palaearctic regions ( García Morales et al. 2016). This is the first record of C. rostellum in Uruguay.
