Material examined: PARAGUAY: Presidente Hayes: Costa Esmeralda, 23º 40’ S, 58º 29’ W, 18–23-I-2011, U. Drechsel leg., 1 female [ODIC] GoogleMaps ; ARGENTINA: Salta: 190_, C. Bruch, 2 exx. [CBBA] , one labeled “ Blaesia / subrugosa / Moser” [handwritten by Bruch]; Richter Collection, 1 ex. [MLPA] , “ Blaesia / subrugosa /Moser / determ. Moser”, “ Blaesia / subrugosa / Moser / det. B.C. Note: Both species of Blaesia seem to be allopatric, one in Bolivia and northern Argentina ( B. subrugosa ), and the other one in Uruguay and eastern Argentina ( B. atra ). Therefore, the records of B. atra from Salta and B. subrugosa from Buenos Aires need further verification.
