Meringini Acosta and Morrone , new tribe
Type genus. Meringis Jordan View in CoL , 1937.
Diagnosis. Frons evenly rounded, with tubercle absent; eyes greatly reduced, with some medial pigmentation; labial palpi length of procoxae; pronotal comb of 14 teeth; inner surface of hind coxa with single row of spiniform bristles; and terga lacking apical spinelets.
Included taxa. This new tribe includes only the genus Meringis .
