Phortica takadai: Máca 2003: 261 . syn. nov.

Diagnosis. Aedeagal median rod subbasally with 1 slender, triangular, lobe-like process ( Fig. 9C ), sometimes asymmetrical or bifurcated apically (as fig. 2A, B in Okada 1977).

Remarks. We considered P. takadai Okada, 1977 as a synonym of P. conifera , because the lobe-like process of aedeagal median rod usually has some variations among the variegata complex species, such as P. chi ( Toda & Sidorenko, 1996) , P. eugamma ( Toda & Peng, 1990) , P. huazhii Cheng & Chen, 2008 , and P. lambda ( Toda & Peng, 1990) . Compared with P. conifera , there is no sufficient morphological evidence in supporting P. takadai as a different species.
