Description. Elongate; parallel-sided; head vertex black with anterior ⅓ reddish; pronotum orange with 3 black vittae; elytra orange with apical ¼ black, sutural vitta and scutellar spot black; venter black with orangish markings; legs black with base of femora orange. Head: vertex with deep medial sulcus; frontal carina straight; clypeus with irregular small elevations; frons punctate, not projecting. Antenna: antennomeres laterally compressed; antennomere 1 large, subglobose; 2 transverse, ½ length of 1; 3 transverse, nearly as long as 1 and 2 combined; 4–5 cylindrical, 4 longer than 3; 6–10 transverse, decreasing in length; 11 longer than 10, pointed at apex; 6–10 convex dorsally (in lateral view). Pronotum: lateral margin slightly convergent on basal ⅔, sinuate on apical ¼; anterior angle rounded; transverse basal impression distinct; surface deeply punctate; area between punctures with microsculpture except at base; pronotal length 1.3–1.5 mm (n=11); pronotal width 1.7–1.9 mm. Scutellum: subcordate; alutaceous. Elytron: lateral and apical margins irregularly serrate; external apical angle rounded, with small teeth; apical margin with two teeth; with 10 rows of punctures plus short scutellar row; intervals 2, 4, and 8 costate, costae on intervals 2 and 4 become less pronounced apically, interval 6 costate at base and apex; elytral length 8.2–8.6 mm; elytral width 2.9–3.1 mm. Venter: pro- and metasterna smooth medially, punctate laterally; mesosternum and abdominal sterna smooth medially, alutaceous laterally. Leg: protibia of male with large tooth; metatibia abruptly enlarged at apex in males. Total length: 9.5–10.4 mm.

Remarks. This species can be distinguished by the elytra having a scutellar row; the pronotum with a basal impression and with the lateral margin slightly convergent from basal ⅔ then sinuate to apex.

Host plant. Unknown.

Distribution. Brazil, Paraguay, and Venezuela.
