The tracheal architecture of B. dubia features wide, bandlike tra- cheae and numerous visceral branches throughout the body; pre- liminary results indicate that tra- cheae may comprise nearly 12% of the volume of the insect (Herhold et al., in prep.). Spiracles and a handful of major tracheae are labeled in the figures and plates; readers are encouraged to view the 3D models provided in the supplementary digi- tal data for further investigation.
