General distribution. Europe: France, Greece, Italy (incl. Sardinia and Sicily), Romania ( Zapparoli 2002; Minelli et al. 2006).

Chorotype. Mediterranean (MED).

Ecological notes. 850–1455 m; a species recorded under Castanea sativa woods, in mountain grasslands, and in anthropized habitats.
