General distribution. Europe: Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark, France (incl. Corsica), Germany, Great Britain, Greece (incl. Ionian Is. and Crete), Hungary, Ireland, Italy (incl. Sardinia and Sicily), Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Romania, Russia, Slovenia, Sweden. North Africa: Morocco, Tunisia ( Zapparoli 2002; Minelli et al. 2006).

Chorotype. European (EUR).

Ecological notes. 1950–2100 m; a species found in montane open habitats ( Zapparoli 1994, 2002).
