( Figs 20–30 View FIGURES 20 – 30 )

Description. FEMALE. Body length 6.5 mm; fore wing length 5.6 mm.

Head. Antenna rather slender, setiform, 56-segmented. Scape 1.5 times as long as its maximum width. First flagellar segment 3.5 times as long as its apical width, 1.1 times as long as second segment. Penultimate segment 2.0 times as long as maximum width, 0.8 times as long as apical segment; the latter distinctly pointed apically and with small spine. Head width 1.5 times its median length, almost equal to maximum width of mesoscutum. Head behind eyes (dorsal view) weakly roundly narrowed. Eye 1.2 times as long as temple in dorsal view. Ocelli medium-sized, in triangle with base 1.6 times its sides. POL: OD: OOL=11: 7: 13. Vertex smooth, mainly glabrous, with sparse and long setae marginally. Frons mainly smooth, finely rugulose laterally. Temple entirely smooth. Eye with shot and sparse setae, 1.3 times as high as broad. Face mostly smooth, finely punctate laterally, clypeus rugulose; width of face 0.75 times height of eye, 1.1 times height of face and clypeus combined. Malar space 0.2 times height of eye, 0.4 times as long as basal width of mandible. Malar suture indistinct. Hypoclypeal depression about 0.5 times as wide as face. Occipital carina complete dorsally, not fused with hypostomal carina ventrally.

Mesosoma. Length 2.3 times as long as its height. Pronotum with distinctly convex lobe dorsally in posterior 0.3 and with distinct pronotal keel in anterior 0.3. Median lobe of mesoscutum anteriorly convex and distinctly protruding forwards, with distinct median furrow in posterior half. Mesoscutum smooth, but with fine and sparse punctation, with two distinct and weakly convergent carinae and with coarse rugosity in wide area in medio-posterior 0.7. Mesoscutum entirely with dense, rather short, pale and semi-erect setae. Notauli deep and wide anteriorly, shallow and narrow posteriorly, complete, coarsely and densely rugose-crenulate. Scutellum smooth. Prescutellar depression deep, entirely smooth, with distinct median carina, 0.4 times as long as scutellum. Mesopleuron entirely smooth and with fine sparse punctation in upper half. Subalar depression deep, wide, densely curvedly striate. Precoxal sulcus shallow, but with deep subround area posteriorly, smooth, short, running along anterior 0.6 of lower part of mesopleuron. Propodeum with very low and wide lateral tubercles, with areas delineated by coarse carinae, basolateral areas entirely coarsely rugose-striate; areola long, narrow and striate; basal carina almost equal to anterior fork of areola; rest part of propodeum coarsely rugose-striate.

Wings. Fore wing 3.5 times as long as maximum width. Vein r arising almost from middle of pterostigma. Vein 3-SR forming very obtuse angle with r. 3-SR: r: SR1: 2-SR= 20: 7: 35: 13. Second submarginal cell rather long, 2.7 times as long as maximum width, 1.4 times as long as first subdiscal cell. Vein 1-SR+M weakly sinuate. Vein m-cu distinctly antefurcal, distance between m-cu and 1-M 0.85 times m-cu. First subdiscal cell 2.4 times as long as maximum width, CU1a arising from posterior 0.25 of distal margin of first subdiscal cell. Hind wing vein M+CU 1.2 times as long as vein 1-M. Vein m-cu entirely straight, interstitial.

Legs. Hind coxa dorsally finely punctate with rugulosity basally, laterally finely and rather densely punctate, almost smooth below, without dorsal tooth. Hind femur 3.5 times as long as maximum width. Dorsal side of hind tibia with rather long and short, dense and semi-erect setae, length of long setae 0.6–0.8 times maximum width of tibia. Hind tarsus 1.2 times as long as hind tibia. Hind basitarsus 0.8 times as long as second-fifth segments combined; second segment of hind tarsus 0.5 times as long as basitarsus, 2.5 times as long as fifth segment (except pretarsus).

Metasoma 0.9 times as long as mesosoma and head combined. First tergite with small and wide basal lobes, without spiracular tubercles, weakly and almost linearly widened from subbase to apex. Maximum width of first tergite 1.9 times its minimum width; its length 1.2 times maximum subapical width. Second tergite with very fine, straight and almost parallel sublateral furrows; median length of second tergite 0.6 times its basal width, 1.3 times length of third tergite. Suture between second and third tergites distinct, shallow, curved medially, with distinct sublateral bends. Third tergite without depression. First tergite coarsely sinuately striate with rugosity laterally, coarsely rugose-areolate medially on wide area. Second tergite distinctly densely longitudinally striate sublaterally and rugose-areolate with curved striation medially on wide area. Third tergite mostly smooth, finely rugulose-striate mediobasally at short distance. Remaining tergites entirely smooth. Ovipositor sheath 1.5 times as long as metasoma, 1.7 times as long as mesosoma and 0.8 times as long as fore wing; sheath in very dense, rather long and dark setae.

Colour. Body dark reddish brown to black, head and propleuron light reddish brown, pronotum and anterior part of median lobe of mesoscutum reddish brown. Antenna entirely dark reddish brown to black. Palpi entirely dark reddish brown. Legs dark reddish brown to black, fore coxa basally and fore trochantellus reddish brown, all tibiae dark basally. Wings faintly infuscate. Pterostigma entirely dark brown.

Male. Unknown.

Material examined. Holotype: Ƥ, China, Henan, Xixia, Huangshian, 17.VII.1998, Ma Yun, No 989323 ( ZJUH).

Distribution. China (Henan).

Etymology. From Mrs Ma Yun, the collector of the holotype.

Diagnosis. This new species is very similar to D. (D.) hedini (Fahringer) , but differs in having the mesoscutum weakly elevated above pronotum (distinctly elevated in D. hedini ), the temple shorter than length of eye (equal to length of eye in D. hedini ), ovipositor sheath distinctly longer than metasoma (weakly longer in D. hedini ), all tibiae basally dark (contrastingly pale in D. hedini ), third tergite not circularly striate and very shortly rugulose striate basally (widely and semi-circularly striate in D. hedini ), and head light reddish brown (almost black in D. hedini ). D. (P.) mayunae sp. nov. also resembles D. (D.) petiolatus Telenga , but differs in having the first tergite short, second tergite entirely and third basally sculptured, suture between second and third tergites with not strong lateral bends, the temple short, the fore wings faintly infuscate, the setae on the dorsal side of hind tibia long, and the hind tibia dark basally.
