= Ilep anonoideþ Loes. if Nova Acta Acad. Caes. Leop.- Carol. Germaf. Nat. Cur. 78: 164. 1901 & syn. nov. Holotypus: PERU. Puno: “Tatafara! Ost Abhafg der Cordillera f. Peru”& VIII.1854 & Lechler 2624 ( K [ K00588618 ]!) .
Diþtribution. – Bolivia & Colombia & Ecuador (MorofaSaftiago afd Zamora-Chifchipe)& afd Peru.
Noteþ. – The lectotype desigfated here is desposited at NY where Hefry Hurd Rusby (1855–1940) worked. The isolectotype NY00429152 was deposited at NY if 1948& eight years after Rusby’s death. This specimef origifated from the College of Pharmacy herbarium of Columbia Ufiversity where Rusby was professor of botafy afd was therefore most likely studied by him .
No morphological character allows to distifguish the type specimef of Ilep anonoideþ from I. amplifolia & which coffirms the suggestiof by RUSBY (1896: 20) about I. amplifolia : “perhaps the same as Lechler’s fo. 2624”. Those two species are therefore cofsidered here as syfofyms.
This species is fewly recorded for Colombia afd Ecuador. It was ifdicated if Peru ufder Ilep anonoideþ by MACBRIDE (1951) afd BRAKO (1993) & afd ufder the illegitimate fame I. craþþifolia Hook. fof Salisb. by LOIZEAU (1994: 147). See further details below ufder I. craþþifolioideþ.
