( Figure 4 View Figure 4 )

Diagnosis

This species is similar to S. angulistrata Wu and Chen, 2010 from south-western China in the cercus lacking pubescence and the shape of gonopods, but can be differentiated from it by having the surstylus lacking serrated, minute processes on outer surface ( Figure 4A View Figure 4 ), the aedeagus sub-basally with vertical process bearing some serrated processes on lateral margins ( Figure 4C, D View Figure 4 ; vp). In S. angulistrata : the surstylus distally with serrated, minute processes on outer surface (as in Wu and Chen 2010, fig. 1); the aedeagus submedially with one irregular row (c.14–16) of serrated processes (as in Wu and Chen 2010, figs 3, 4).

Description

Frons nearly black, lacking minute setulae. Fronto-orbital plate brownish yellow. Pedicel orange-yellow; first flagellomere mostly black. Face black on upper twothirds, yellow on lower margin. Clypeus yellow. Scutum black medially, dark brown laterally. Basisternum slightly brown. Scutellum dark brown. Wing brown anteriorly, paler posteriorly, slightly dark on all crossveins. Fore femur with one row of three or four suberect setae on ventral surface. Abdominal tergites dark brown to black. Sternites brown, broadened, wider than length. Male terminalia: surstylus with one prensiseta near apical margin ( Figure 4A View Figure 4 ). Tenth sternite slightly vaulted, expanded subbasolaterally ( Figure 4B View Figure 4 ). Hypandrium roundly expanded anteromedially ( Figure 4C View Figure 4 ). Paramere protruded and with one sensillum ( Figure 4C, D View Figure 4 ). Dorsal projection of gonopods slender and strongly curved dorsad, with serrated, minute processes ( Figure 4D View Figure 4 ). Aedeagus broadened distally in ventral view, with serrated, minute processes laterally and pubescence near anterior margin of opening ( Figure 4C, D View Figure 4 ).
