Type species: Harnischia (Cladopelma) tethys Townes, 1945 View in CoL by objective synonymy.
Diagnosis (As in Saether, 1977; Cranston et al., 1989; Zorina, 2006). Acrostichals present or absent; anal point arising from bluntly triangular projection of anal tergite; inferior volsella small, without setae, sometimes fully or partly fused with superior volsella; stout gonostylus widest distally in few species.
