Habitat and locality

Soil around the roots of trees in a mixed evergreen broad-leaved forest, Ailao Mountains , Yunnan Province ; and from meadow and shrubland in Mila, Demula and Sejila Mountains , Tibet, China .

Remarks

Ahmad and Araki (2003) described T. japonicus from deciduous forests in Japan. The present population from China conforms well to the description of the original population from Japan apart from having a slightly lower b value (vs 3.4–3.7).
