Nilalohita hainana Wang and Wang, 1999: 141 View in CoL .

Description. Length, male (including tegmen): 10mm; length of tegmen: 8.9mm; female (including tegmen): 11–12mm; length of tegmen: 9.7–10.6mm.

Body brown with black maculae. Vertex brown with black maculae near lateral margins. Eyes dark brown. Frons dark brown; clypeus brown with dark brown stripes. Rostrum brown. Pronotum brown with pale brown tubercula, anterior angles and disc dark brown. Mesoscutellum brown with dark brown maculae. Tegmen greenish brown with dark brown maculae. Wing dark brown with brown veins. Legs brown, fore-, meso- and hind femora with dark brown fasciae, tibiae with black macualae. Venter brown with disc dark brown, apex of abdomen dark brown.

Vertex with lateral margins adjacent eye diverging, disc distinctly depressed ( Figs 4 View FIGURES 1 – 9. F , 20 View FIGURES 20 – 29. F ). Frons with greatest width ventrally approximately 1.5x narrowest width between eyes dorsally ( Figs 5 View FIGURES 1 – 9. F , 21 View FIGURES 20 – 29. F ). Thorax ( Figs 4 View FIGURES 1 – 9. F , 20 View FIGURES 20 – 29. F ) with disc and apical angles of pronotum with tubercula; mesoscutellum short and broad, with lateral carinae; greatest width 2.3× wider than medial length. Tegmen with many irregular maculae; 2.8× longer than widest part; Sc long, reaching over midlength; M 4- branched; Cu not forked; an extra vein arising after apex of clavus, nearly parallel to Cu ( Fig. 22 View FIGURES 20 – 29. F ). Wing 0.95× length of tegmen ( Fig. 23 View FIGURES 20 – 29. F ). Hind tibia with 3–4 lateral teeth near apex. Spinal formula of hind leg 8–9–2.

Male genitalia: Anal segment approximately circular in dorsal view with apical margin slightly incurved laterally, anal foramen near middle ( Fig. 25 View FIGURES 20 – 29. F ); in lateral view relatively wide subapically, thereafter tapered to acute upturned apex; ventral margin sinuate; dorsal margin convex in basal half, concave in distal half ( Fig. 24 View FIGURES 20 – 29. F ). Pygofer with caudal margin incurved ventrally ( Fig. 24 View FIGURES 20 – 29. F ). Aedeagus in profile strongly curved ( Fig. 26 View FIGURES 20 – 29. F ); dorsal lobe undivided, enwrapping downwards lateral lobes, the latter tapering to slender apex, curved laterally; ventral lobe slightly concave with apex convex in ventral view ( Fig. 27 View FIGURES 20 – 29. F ); ventral spiniform proceses directed cephalad. Genital styles moderately long, nearly triangular in lateral view, about as wide near base as apex; anterior margin convex, ventral margin shallowly convex; apical margin more or less rounded; dorsal margin near middle produced dorsad in large tapering lobe, with apex directed laterally acuminate with short carina below lobe ( Fig. 24 View FIGURES 20 – 29. F ).

Female genitalia: Anal segment in dorsal view elliptical, short, wider than long, apical margin barely rounded ( Fig. 29 View FIGURES 20 – 29. F ); in lateral view relatively narrow, expanded subapically with ventral margin shallowly sinuate. Ovipositor with first valvula curved dorsally with 5 nearly parallel teeth; tooth near lateral margin with 2 small teeth. Third valvula stout, strongly convex and nearly quadrangular, with apical margin tumid and polished ( Fig. 28 View FIGURES 20 – 29. F ). Pregenital sternite with apical margin nearly straight.
