Type material. AUSTRALIA, Queensland: ♂ holotype, Edge of Lake Poona, Cooloola, 25º59' S, 152º59' E, [- 25.98, 158.98], 7 Feb. 1976, QMB S90797.

Etymology. In honour of Prof. Rainer R. Foelix, distinctive Swiss arachnologist, author of the famous Biology of Spiders textbook.

Diagnosis. In comparison with closely related H. kenilworthi , the tegulum is of different shape, cymbial flange more distinctive and embolus pointed ( Figs 68–71 View FIGURES 66 – 74 ). Fringe above the anterior eyes missing.

Description. Male holotype. Cephalothorax shiny chestnut brown, eye surroundings darker ( Fig. 66 View FIGURES 66 – 74 ). Abdomen faded with remnants of anterior dark patch. Spinnerets grey. Clypeus and chelicerae brown ( Fig. 73 View FIGURES 66 – 74 ). Endites and labium brown with darker tips ( Fig. 74 View FIGURES 66 – 74 ), sternum dirty dark brown. Venter grey ( Fig. 67 View FIGURES 66 – 74 ). Legs with black contrasting stripes along pro- and retrolateral sides of articles, dorsally and ventrally with yellow longitudinal stripes. Tibiae and metatarsi I and II with 2-2-2-2, and 2-2 ventral spines, respectively. Dimensions: CL 3.13, CW 2.54, CH 1.45, AL 3.64, AW 1.56, EFL 1.40, AEW 2.08, PEW 1.87, leg I 9.39 (2.70+1.45+2.44+2.02+0.78), leg II 7.88 (2.39+1.24+1.97+1.66+0.62), both legs III missing, leg IV 9.39 (2.44+1.24+2.44+2.44+0.83).

Female. Unknown.

Distribution. Known only from the type locality ( Fig. 88 View FIGURE 88 , square).
