Host and locality in Australia: Gallus gallus, Rochedale , Queensland; Lismore, N.S.W.; Poowong, Victoria ( Domrow 1992) .

Current name of host: Red Junglefowl (domestic hen), Gallus gallus ( Linnaeus, 1758) ( Galliformes : Phasianidae ).

Notes: Mironov & Galloway (2002b) suggested that the name Megninia gynglymura (sic) has been applied to several different species of Megninia .
