Zarcosia barclayi n. sp.

Etymology. The species is named after Max Barclay in acknowledgment of his unflagging support over two decades to guide me through the insect research collections of the British Museum of Natural History.
Type locality. Malaysia: Sarawak, Gunung Mulu National Park , Deer Cave [04°05’’ N 114° 53’ E] .
Distribution. Malaysia ( Figure 1 View FIGURE 1 ).
Description. ( Figure 3i,j View FIGURE 3 ). Body length. ♂: 1.74± 0.02 mm (n=2); ♀: 1.96± 0.13 mm (n=7). Dark brown, densely covered with silver applied pubescence. Appendages orange to brown.
Head. Wider than pronotum in males, as wide as pronotum in females. Palpi orange, last article securiform. Integument mat, finely rugose.
Antennae. A fourth to a third longer than elytra in males, shorter than elytra in females, orange, slightly and progressively thicker toward apex. Antennomere 4 and higher with a slight serration.
Pronotum ( Figure 6g View FIGURE 6 ). Subcylindrical, convex, slightly longer than wide, marked by a strong lateral constriction on each side.
Elytra. Length: ♂: 1.20± 0.07 mm (n=2); ♀: 1.21± 0.08 mm (n=7). Finely and densely punctuated, covered with double pubescence. Moderately convex, depressed on disc.
Legs. No notable sexual characters. Male foretibia with a faint sinuation of their inner side.
Aedeagus ( Figure 4a View FIGURE 4 ). Simple, narrow, progressively tapered, slightly and regularly bent in lateral view. Appendages visible near apex.
