Antennae with antennomeres from III slightly decreasing in length toward apex up to subapical; apical antennomere slightly longer than subapical. Labrum somewhat straight. Pronotum widest posteriad, semilunar. Elytra almost 4x longer than wide, widest medially. Abdominal tergum IX and pygidium generally exposed. Abdominal sterna VI and VII with lanterns anteriorly rounded, straight posteriad, with posterolateral rounded projections (billycock-shaped), almost as long as sterna length, maximum width as wide as 3/4 sterna width. Pygidium with posterior margin slightly mucronate. Phallum constricted at basal 1/2, sclerotized portion slightly shorter than paramere, with paired subapical, laterally-oriented teeth, and anterior margin straight in dorsal view.

Colour: Body overall dark-brown, except by abdominal sterna VI and VII, which are dark-brown on outer margins and light-yellow on the area around lanterns; and a central light-brown strip on metasternum. Pronotum light-yellow, contour and a central strip on disc dark-brown, sometimes with pair of pink vittae. Elytra dark-brown, outer margins light-yellow except by outer contour, dark-brown.

Immature stages and female unknown.

Biology. Fireflies active from twilight through the first hours of the night, flashing.
